The Sweetest Trip:)

Last month Kevin and I visited New York City. This was our second trip to the city and we wanted to do all the things we didn't have time to do on our first visit. So, of course you know I am a big Cake Boss Fan and it was only right that we visit Carlo's Bake Shop. Carlo's is located in Hoboken New Jersey, which is about 15 minutes outside of New York City. We took a crazy (I say crazy because the cab driver drove like a maniac) cab ride to Hoboken. When we arrived we had to wait in a huge line outside of the store.  We waited in line for about 2 hours but it was well worth the wait. I wanted to try everything but knew that I could only have a few things. I chose the cupcake and a huge chocolate chip cookie. They both literally melted in my mouth. I only wished we lived closer but if that was the case I would definitely need to buy bigger clothes lol. We had a great time and we plan to visit again soon:)

Last Fling Before the Ring!

Last Saturday I arranged a little get together at my house for my long time best friend Miranda. She is soon to be a married woman, and I thought it would be a fun idea to have a casual but festive small party. Like always we had a great time and laughed until our abs hurt. LOL Happy Bachelorette Party Miranda!! Love you B!

Baby Sesame Street!

I just want to blog about this cake today. It is one of my favorites because I love Sesame Street! Growing up, I was a huge Sesame Street fan. Now that I have a child of my own it gets me excited to see how happy these little characters make her. Hopefully Harrison (the birthday boy) will love this cake as much I do:)

This cake is a 10 inch round, French vanilla cake. I iced the cake in buttercream frosting and added fondant decorations to the side. The characters are a frozen buttercream transfer that I made a day before. Notice the REAL cookie in Cookie Monster's hand. That is my favorite part!

Happy Birthday to the best friend a girl could ask for! Sheena, you are like my sister and the times that we have shared together are what a true friendship is all about. I love that you are by my side in almost every awkward situation. God has truly blessed me with a friend that I can rely on when I need some one to make me laugh, or just to let me cry. I love you Sheena Jill. Happy 26th Birthday! And yes I'm throwing out the numbers now:)

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Ok so it is not Valentine's Day yet, but I have been baking up a storm for all of the party orders and couldn't wait to share these with you. I love Valentine's Day. It is one of my favorite holidays just because it's all about the love and of course SWEETS. Hope you enjoy!

Happy Birthday Emersyn!

My little girl Emersyn turned 3 years old this Saturday.  It seems as if only yesterday she was born. I will never forget her first cry the day I delivered her in the hospital. From that moment on I was a changed person. I am so thankful that God saw me fit to be her mother. What an amazing gift he has given me and to him I will be forever thankful. On a side note, we definitely partied it up this weekend. Here are a couple of pics.

Happy Early Birthday To Me!

I have been searching for a new cake stand for a while now and when I found this one I knew it was the one. To top it off, I also found a round dish that matched. I was super excited. This was an early birthday present to myself. LOL I am going to use the cake stand this weekend for Emersyn's birthday cake. Hopefully it will be a hit. I can't wait!
